Lochside Road is flanked by a dead straight freight line crossed by a stone foot bridge, the trains pass through every half hour or so and make a fearful wonderful sound as they stand waiting for their signal pulsing like a heart beat.  Once it would have been accompanied by the big hammer at the steel works, but thats all gone now, leaving the songbirds to fill the air..
